■Outline
In July 2014, the implementation of new tertiary education institution focusing on excellent vocational education, has been proposed by Council for Revitalizing Education, following the Report of Career Education Council (2011). This proposal aspires to juxtapose the vocational education with academic and scholastic education.
This international seminar will discuss about the quality assurance of tertiary education and teaching staff in comparing with the vocational education and scientific education. Foreign guest speakers from Germany and Australia will talk about this issue on competency of scholarship and that of teaching qualifications, with Japanese researchers and show directions of the educational reform in Japan for the future.
